EFD Induction forging solutions have been installed in dozens of countries, mainly in the metal and foundry sector. Examples of materials you can process with forging induction are aluminum, brass, copper, steel and stainless steel.

 

With induction you get perfect heating control—time after time. All components are subject to the same temperature, so there's no risk of the wrong temperature producing the wrong shape or damaging the tools in the next production step.

 

Induction also produces less oxidation—important for the metallurgical composition of the metals and protection of tools.

Industrial heat processing systems

 

HeatLine is EFD Induction’s family of systems for melting and forging applications. A comprehensive range, HeatLine systems feature serial and/or parallel compensated induction power sources for a wide range of output powers and frequencies.

 

HeatLine’s serial technology is built around robust, high-uptime IGBT transistors. Our parallel technology features thyristor, IGBT and MOSFET components. Each HeatLine converter offers automatic load matching, a single microprocessor-based control board and integrated capacitors.

 

In addition to systems for melting and forging, HeatLine offers solutions for graphite coating, wire and strip heating, spring wire rolling, glass melting, graphite susceptor heating, galvanizing, food and chemical vessel heating, and other special applications.

Minac

Mobile heat generators

Minac - Mobile heat generators

 

The Minac range of complete mobile induction systems is even easier to use than its acclaimed predecessor.

 

A ready-to-use system, all that has to be done upon delivery is: 1) attach a coil, 2) connect supply voltage, 3) connect cooling water. In models with closed cooling systems, only the supply voltage needs connecting.

 

Once installed, the Minac's clear, menu-based and multi-language control panel ensures maximum ease-of-use. Moreover, this simplified control/user interface is common to all Minac equipment.

 

Many Minac models come in "Twin" versions offering two independent power outputs. The Twin versions feature split control panel displays—one for each power output.

 

The Minac is simple to operate. Handheld transformers (HHT) feature on/off and precise power controls. In fact, the HHT is as easy to operate as a regular electric drill. Flexible, water-cooled cables connecting the HHT to the converter allow easy access to workpieces.
