Caterpillar Inc., the earthmoving equipment giant, has ordered eight induction hardening
and tempering systems from EFD Induction.
The systems are currently being constructed at EFD Induction facilities in China, and are due to enter service next year.
“Every order is of course important to us,” says EFD Induction CEO Eivin Jørgensen. “But an order of this size from a company like Caterpillar underscores how we can meet the most stringent efficiency, quality and safety standards.”
EFD Induction has been established in China for over a decade. Says Jørgensen: “During that time we have significantly expanded our manufacturing and after-sales support presence in the People’s Republic—a presence that lets us meet the demands of our customers in this dynamic market.”
