EFD Induction’s Minac induction heating equipment and services save the production process of Norwegian customer NLI A/S, and provide a rapid return on investment.
Production at NLI A/S was close to failure without the effective heat produced by induction. The process of welding copper and steel together is very difficult due to the difference in heat absorption. To make this possible with a profitable welding speed the copper detail needs to be pre-heated and reach a temperature of approximately 600°C within the time frame specified. It became clear that induction heating would support the temperature during welding and result in high quality welding every time. Minac induction heating equipment was chosen for flexibility and easy adaptability as well as for high efficiency, accurate control, great repeatability and environmental benefits.
